Allied Health professionals, hospital discharge managers, and healthcare leaders play a vital role in ensuring safe and timely transitions from hospital to appropriate accommodation. The Impact Housing National Strategic Alliance serves as a collaborative platform for these professionals, bringing them together with housing and support providers to explore solutions that prevent discharge delays, reduce readmissions, and improve long-term outcomes. SDA and all related stakeholders - Providers, Builders, Developers, Valuers, Investors, Assessors, Architects, Town Planners, Occupational Therapists, Supports, Designers-are integral to Impact Housing because they share a common goal: delivering quality, participant-focused housing.

Through NDISDA, we unite these voices to foster collaboration, tackle shared challenges, and lead sector change with integrity, innovation, and best practice at the core. Together, we shape the future of SDA in Australia.

Community Housing Providers

Community Housing Providers (CHPs) are critical in delivering social and affordable housing. These non-profit organizations manage housing for people with low to moderate incomes, addressing housing affordability, stability, and community wellbeing.

Mental health and mental health accommodation are critical components of the Impact Housing National Strategic Alliance.

Our Alliance brings together housing providers, mental health services, and support agencies to drive integrated, person-centred solutions that respond to complex needs - ensuring safe pathways out of crisis and into sustainable, supported living environments.

Domestic Violence & Crisis Accommodation 

Domestic and family violence is a leading driver of housing instability and homelessness. The Impact Housing National Strategic Alliance provides a national platform for change -hosting events that bring together housing leaders, frontline services, and policymakers to drive better outcomes.

Through these forums, we champion the development of safe, trauma-informed crisis and transitional accommodation pathways that support recovery, safety, and long-term stability for those affected.

Our mission is to drive systemic change by addressing critical housing and care challenges, with a sharp focus on Mental Health accommodation, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Domestic violence refuge, Child Protection, In-home Aged care Solutions, Hospital discharge pathways, and innovative funding models.

Through nationwide partnerships, we collaborate with community housing providers, federal and local government agencies, advocacy groups, builders, developers, investors, architects, social impact leaders, allied health professionals, Specialist Disability Accommodation Professionals and Stakeholders,  Supported Independent Living (SIL) providers, and Frontline Social Workers.

 

Together, we are shaping a future where housing solutions are not just built, but strategically designed to empower, protect, and support the most vulnerable in our communities.
